The Jeff-Lewis Association for Pupil Transportation is a Chapter of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT). Our Chapter was founded in 1983 by then President, Dorothy S. Burdick - Supervisor of Transportation for the South Lewis Central School District.  The first (organizational) meeting was held on June 2, 1983.  The President of NYAPT, Mr. K. Pete James, was invited to the October meeting to address the group at large.  In the original set of by-laws for the Chapter, the dues were set at $5 per year and there were to be 6 monthly meetings held at BOCES.  Currently there are 18 School Districts in our Chapter.  We hold 11 monthly meetings each year, skipping only September, and move around to different schools within the district.
